Theophile “Theo” Jones Jr

22nd Judicial District Court, Division G

Through decades of service to the Northshore and abroad, Theo Jones has worn many hats—veteran, journalist, public defender, civil defense attorney, maintenance worker, retail grocery associate and service industry professional. Now, he’s ready to bring his life experience, extensive courtroom experience and principled leadership to the bench.

Rooted in Service
Grounded in Community

Rooted in Service Grounded in Community Born in Bogalusa. Raised in Franklinton. Shaped by the core values that define the Northshore: faith, hard work, accountability, and respect. Theo has toiled in the trenches of the justice system; standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the people of the Northshore—advocating for neighbors, veterans, and working families navigating their most challenging moments.

That experience shaped a core belief:

Everyone who enters a courtroom deserves dignity, fairness, and respect.

Theo believes justice must never be political, personal, or performative; it must be consistent, impartial, and guided by the law.

Real Courtroom Experience Matters

Theo isn’t running on rhetoric—he’s running on experience. He’s built his career in our courtrooms, handling real cases, representing real people, and doing the work every single day.

His background in both criminal and civil law provides a balanced perspective—one that recognizes how the law shapes the lives of individuals, families, and the entire community.

Fairness Under The Law

Every person deserves to be heard, respected, and treated fairly—regardless of background, status, or circumstance.

Theo believes the courtroom should be a place where the law is applied equally and every individual is treated with dignity.

Judicial Restraint

The role of a judge is clear: follow the law, not shape it.

Theo believes there is no room for personal views or political agendas on the bench—only a commitment to applying the law equally and consistently.
